Cuetec Launches the Cynergy SVB Gen 2, Its Flagship Carbon Playing Cue
Shane Van Boening's signature cue gets a second generation — same 12.5mm carbon shaft, reworked butt, $749 MSRP.
Cuetec has officially taken the wraps off the Cynergy SVB Gen 2, the second generation of its flagship playing cue developed with Shane Van Boening. The new model keeps the Cynergy 15K carbon fiber shaft but pairs it with a reworked butt that leans harder into the SVB signature identity.
What changed
The Gen 2 keeps the 12.5mm Cynergy carbon shaft that made the original a best-seller, but Cuetec says the layup has been tuned for a slightly firmer hit. The butt gets a new finish, an updated collar design, and a revised weight system that lets players dial in balance without aftermarket parts.
Why it matters
The original SVB was the cue that proved carbon could sell at mid-range prices. A Gen 2 signals Cuetec is committing to the signature line rather than treating it as a one-off — and it puts pressure on Predator and Mezz to keep iterating.
