# Review Policy

*How we test, score and keep advertising separate from reviews.*

## Independence

CuesReview reviews are never paid for. Manufacturers do not see reviews before publication, cannot request changes, and cannot buy coverage. Sponsored content is always labeled **Partner Content** and kept visually distinct from editorial reviews.

## How we test

Every review is based on hands-on play — typically two to four weeks of league nights, practice drills and match play across 9-ball, 8-ball and 10-ball. We evaluate:

- **Hit and feedback:** how the cue communicates contact
- **Deflection:** measured against a controlled baseline
- **Build quality:** joint tolerances, finish, straightness
- **Value:** performance relative to price

## Scores

| Score | Meaning |
|---|---|
| 9.0+ | Benchmark — best in class |
| 8.0–8.9 | Excellent, recommended |
| 7.0–7.9 | Good (right for specific players) |
| Below 7.0 | We usually don't publish a full review |
