# Predator P3 Racer + REVO 12.4 Review: Still the Benchmark

The Predator P3 has been the reference point for production playing cues since it launched. Pair it with the 12.4mm REVO carbon shaft and you get what many consider the most complete off-the-shelf playing cue money can buy, a claim we put to three weeks of testing.

## Overview

The P3 Racer is Predator's top production butt: Uni-Loc joint, removable weight system, and the brand's signature matte finish. Ours shipped with the REVO 12.4mm carbon shaft, the most popular LD shaft in the game.

## Design & Materials

The forearm uses Predator's clean, minimalist design language — no flashy inlays, just tight grain and precise machining. The wrap is a lizard-embossed leather that stayed grippy through long sessions. Fit and finish are the best we've seen at this price: zero gaps at the joint, dead-straight shaft roll, a ferrule that feels like it was machined to aerospace tolerances.

## Technology

The REVO 12.4 is the star. Its carbon composite construction delivers consistent deflection across the entire shaft, and the first thing you notice is how predictable sidespin becomes. Power transfer feels immediate without the "hollow" sensation cheaper carbon shafts suffer from.

## On the Table

The hit is crisp and honest. You feel the ball, not the shaft. Draw shots come back with less effort than any maple cue we've tested, and the REVO's consistency shows up most on long shots with inside english, where guesswork disappears.
